A front load washer repair may seem like a difficult task than it actually is.
In anticipation for a front load washer repair, it helps to know
how to troubleshoot the washer. This will help to simplify the front
load washer repair process.
Ensure that the front load washer is standing on level ground
especially if it is vibrating or making a lot of noise. Confirm that
the legs were properly installed and that they are properly tightened
by their bolts and nuts. It is preferable that the washer be standing
on a hard floor. Remove any rug or carpet underneath if any to ensure
stability during the front load washer repair.
Normally after a spinning cycle, the door automatically closes to
allow the water to drain out first before you can take out the
laundry. If the door is locked, select the spin or drain buttons to
drain the rest of the water in the system and unlock the door. Always
allow the washer to complete its cycle before trying to open the
door.
If you have ever smelt some unpleasant odor coming from your
washer, it might be coming from water that has stagnated at fold on
the flexible gasket. Sometimes when you remove your clothes from the
washer they may be having some unfamiliar smell. Wipe the fold at the
gasket dry with a dry absorbent piece of cloth in preparation for the
front load washer repair.
If the washer is not running, check to ensure that the electrical
chord is plugged in correctly. If you find it plugged in and yet it is
still not running check the outlet using an ohmmeter to see if its
connected to the source of power. If it' a case of the motor over
heating, the washer may have turned itself of and it will come back on
in about thirty or so minuets.
You can also check to ensure that the Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupt (GFCI) or the circuit breaker is not tripped. You may need
to reset or replace the fuse that the washer is set on. Also check
whether the cold and hot water faucets are open because the washer
will not work if only one of them is open. Ensure that they are
connected to the washer before calling for a front load washer repair
and spend on an unnecessary expense.
Check that there is no clogging on the inlet valve screens and
straighten the water hose. Turn off the water and check for particles
that may be in the inlet hose and then put the hose back on the
washer.
